Kristie Wright is a senior associate with Haltom & Doan. She is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Texas and Arkansas, and her primary areas of practice are pharmaceutical and environmental and toxic tort litigation. Kristie previously served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Bowie and Anderson counties, where she handled a variety of matters, including four capital murder (death penalty) prosecutions.
Kristie is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Northeast Texas Bar Association, the Texarkana Bar Association, the Harrison County Bar Association, the Southwest Arkansas Bar Association, and the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association. She is also a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, an Arkansas Bar Foundation Fellow and a member of Defense Research Institute. She is a charter member of the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association, and has held a variety of offices within that organization including President (2002-2003) and presently acts as advisor to the Executive Committee. Kristie is currently the District Representative for the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) Board of Directors, and she serves on the Local Affiliates and Marketing Committees for that organization. She received the TYLA President’s Award of Merit in 2006 and 2007, was named Star of the Quarter in 2007, and was name Outstanding TYLA Director in 2008.
Kristie graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, in 1992. She received her J.D. from Baylor University in 1995.
